The completely redesigned construction of Schwalbe Pro Radial tyres is based on a new carcass design.
Unlike conventional bicycle tyres, the threads of the carcass are arranged at a more obtuse angle in radial tyres, changing the way the tyre deforms when it comes into contact with the trail. As a result, these tyres have a larger contact area than conventional mountain bike tyres and filter more small trail irregularities.
The Romy tyre is designed to be a versatile all-round tyre for trail and all mountain style riding, fairly fast rolling and lighter than most enduro tyres, but still quite aggressive.
