The FR 541 is the strongest ever rim from DT Swiss. It may not be your first rim, but it aspires to be the last. The new rim shape improves the impact resistance, enabling you to push a little harder on the trails. It also enhances the pinch flat protection for a trusty ride on rougher tracks.
Replacing the classic FR 560, we see the FR 541 as more of an evolution of the famous EX 511. With an eyelet-less construction, instead using internal PHR washers, the FR 541 features added material in the spoke bed and the bead, adding impact strength, fatigue resistance, and pinch flat resistance.
