Burgtec Thru-Axles are machined from super tough 7076 Aluminium and are constructed to Fox’s exact specifications.
Unlike any other fork axles on the market, these feature a unique double hex design. This includes the traditional 6mm that everyone is familiar with but with an added 6mm on the other end of the axle. This “Get out of Jail” feature makes removal much easier if the 6mm gets chewed up, over tightened or not removed for a long time. We all know how much it sucks to miss a ride and this feature should help make sure that doesn’t happen.
Having an Allen key fitting instead of a QR also allows the use of a torque wrench so you can be sure your wheel is correctly tightened. As with anything Burgtec, it’s those fine details that make all the difference.

Fitment: This axle suits Fox forks pre-2021 with Boost (15 x 110) hub spacing. This axle also does still fit 2021+ Rhythm forks (36 Rhythm and 38 Rhythm) as well as 2021+ Fox 32 and 34 Performance, Performance Elite, and Factory which do not have a floating axle.
